Privacy Policy

The short version

We collect the minimum data needed to run the service. We don't sell your data. We don't use your content for training AI models. Your presentations are yours.

1. What we collect

Account data: Your email address when you sign in. That's it — no name, phone number, or address required.

Presentation data: The content of your decks (text, images, brand settings) is stored in our database when you use cloud save. Images are embedded as data URLs within your deck JSON.

Payment data: Processed entirely by Stripe. We receive your email and plan status from Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

Usage data: Basic analytics (page views, feature usage) to improve the product. We use Vercel Analytics, which is privacy-focused and doesn't use cookies for tracking.

2. What we don't collect

• We don't track you across other websites
• We don't use advertising cookies or pixels
• We don't collect your location, device identifiers, or browsing history
• We don't read or analyze the content of your presentations for any purpose other than storing and displaying them to you

3. How we use your data

• Email: To authenticate you, send magic-link sign-in emails, and notify you of important account changes (plan updates, service changes). We won't send marketing emails without your opt-in.
• Presentation data: To save and load your decks when you use cloud features. Stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS).
• AI editor inputs: If you use the AI editor, your prompts are sent to Anthropic's API to generate content. Anthropic does not use API inputs for training. We log prompt metadata (length, token count) for cost tracking but don't store full prompt text long-term.

4. Who has access

Your data is accessible only to you and to us (the Impressentation team) for the purpose of providing support and maintaining the service. We use these third-party services:

• Supabase — database and authentication (EU/US hosting)
• Vercel — hosting and serverless functions
• Stripe — payment processing
• Anthropic — AI content generation (unlimited plan only)

We don't share your data with anyone else.

5. Data retention

Your account and presentation data is stored as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days. Exported HTML files on your device are yours — we have no access to them after export.

6. Your rights

You can at any time:

• Export all your decks as HTML files (self-contained, no dependency on us)
• Delete your account and all associated data by emailing us
• Request a copy of the data we hold about you

7. Cookies

We use only essential cookies for authentication (Supabase session tokens). No tracking cookies, no third-party cookies, no cookie banner needed.

8. Children

Impressentation is not designed for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes

If we update this policy, we'll post the changes here and update the date at the top. Significant changes will be communicated by email.
